Arrow Still starting problem

93 F150, 302, automatic, 189,000 miles.

I had problems and codes. Got all of the codes cleared by fixing the problems.
Still I have a problem on the first start of the day. The only way I can get it to start is to cover the throttle body while cranking and it finally hits and starts.
It is getting fire. I have changed the plugs and checked the fuel pressure, all okay. Ran fuel pressure test on both tanks and it is okay.
I am pulling my hair out (both of them).

Any suggestions????????

Oh yeah the only code i am gettin is 11 which means all is good.........

How clean is your throttle body?
Sometimes they get crudded up and the butterflies won't close all the way. Ditto for the IAC. Clean the T/B with coating safe T/B cleaner. You have to remove the IAC to clean it, use lacquer thinner or brake cleaner.

disconnect your negative bat. cable for about 15 minutes and let your cpu reset itself and go in to learning mode and see if your truck keeps or starts doin what it's doing.. that might help

Next time this happens, pull a spark plug and see if it's wet.

A sticky EGR valve will often remain slightly open when you shut the engine off, creating a lean condition when trying to start it the next day.

Use a hand vacuum pump, attach it to the EGR valve, and use it to open and close the EGR valve a few times before trying to start it, and see if that makes a difference.

Sensor on the EGR is working.
PUlled the plenum off and cleaned and checked everything.
Also took off the thermactor stuff because my cats are not there.
Plugged it off at the crossover.
Put it back together and still no start.
Finally got it running and went down the road and back and it ran rough especially on accelaration.
Looked at it and i put the dang tps on backwards.
Took that off and switched it around.
Still started but still ran rough.
not getting any codes for the tps but i am wondering if i didn't screw it up by putting it on backwards............

Did you reset the ECM after correcting the TPS?
