'91 F150 Brake light wiring problem
Ok, well, this is the problem: My brakelights work fine most of the time, except when I hit a bump. When that happens, I blow a fuse. After finding having this happen multiple times, I tried an experiment: I bashed the top of my instrument panel with my brakes depressed, and my hazard lights on (The fuse covers the brake lights, hazard lights, and speed control), and i blew a fuse. I'm thinking the problem lay inside of my dash... ...somewhere. The problem is, I don't know how to remove my dashboard. I followed the brake wires from the switch on the brake pedal up into the dash into a bundle of wires that reach deep into the dashboard, which I assume is where the problem is, unless anyone knows of a different place for the cause of the short. from what I can tell, it has to be inside the dashboard, making a direct short with the chassis, but I could be wrong.
The brake light signal goes to the multifunction switch as part of its normal routing. I'd suggest pulling the column shroud and inspecting the harness (especially if you have tilt-wheel) and the connector at the MFS switch.

Removing the dash is actually fairly easy. First, pop off the rectangular panel right under the headlight ****/fuel switch. Behind that is one screw, remove it. Then pull the headlight **** out, and with a tiny screwdriver push in the release tab, and the **** should pop off. Give the panel a little pry and it should come right off.
