Question 94 f-150 backfires

Hi,
Got a problem with my 94 f-150 xlt 2wd 5.0 302. When it warms up it starts to bog down and backfire, in order to get any speed any it you gotta really lay into it. We have replace the plugs, wires, disturbertor cap, and the fuel filter but it still does it. It runs fine for about 10miles or so till it warms up but it just bogs down and backfires like crazy, doesnt die though just loses speed. Any have any ideas why this could happen, maybe timing dunno?

Thanks!

Check your timing, mine started out that way and got worse.
My distributor slipped. Got it dialed back in and it was fine.

Try hooking up a vacuum gauge, and see what it reads at idle. Let the truck continue to idle for 10-15 minutes, and read the gauge again. Post your results.

Thanks for your reply...I belive it may be the timing. Gotta take it in for that though I think, Im not to experience on about how to adjust that. It all started when I replaced the distributor cap, I prolly screwed up something there. Hopefully anyways lol that should be a easy fixed.

If it started after you reoplaced the distributor cap, it means you probably got the wires installed incorrectly. Recheck the plug wire installation.
