Hey rstacky, you may have to put a heavy duty flasher in. I had problems before with a trailer, can't remember what they were, but the flasher worked. What part of Maine are you from? I belong to a hunting club with a camp near Howland. Good luck, Peace, Dave.

Could be the flasher or the connections. Might want to put in a larger fuse, too, for the added draw.

Sometimes a cheap replacement flasher cant handle the extra bulbs. Also the trailers wiring could be jacked or wired stupid.

Has it worked before? Can you check the trailer with another truck?
