1990 with no inline pump?

I picked up a 1990 150 I6 cheap and it runs weak and wont rev. NOW I can not hear the fuel pump running. I thought these trucks had 2 pumps but I looked at the lines and the only thing between the rails and the tank is a filter just under the drivers door. Is this normal?

Thanks

Sounds right for a '90.

Yup, 87-88 have the low pressure pumps in the tank with the high pressure pump on the frame. 90's+ have high pressure pumps in the tanks.

I dread the idea of dropping the tank because the bolts are extreamly rusty, could I just install in inline and rerout the relay wires? If so, where would I get such a pump, what pump should I get and how much should I pay?

THANKS!

First check the fuel pump relays to make sure they have power after them. Then check the intertia cutoff switch to make sure it didn't trip. It is a lot easier to pull the bed off to have easy access to the sender/pumps.
