Pip circuit failure?

Does anyone know what the pip circuit is? I am getting a 14 code which refers to Pip circuit failure. I cannot find any reference to "Pip circuit" Thanks

PIP stands for "Profile Ignition Pickup" which is a sensor that is used to find RPM.

On most vehicles with distributors, The PIP signal is created in the Hall Effect and Stator assembly and indicates crankshaft position and engine RPM.

Thank You, I did eventually find a reference to the Pip circuit. I replaced the ignition module with no luck. But the 14 code went away. Thanks again.

Always willing to help if I can.

BTW, just because the code "went away" doesnt mean that it will not return. You may have some fault, like an intermitten short somewhere in the curcuit.
