351w head bolt question - water jacket?

Can anyone tell me which head bolts go into the water jacket on a 351w? Which need sealant, and which need oiled? Thanks a lot.

if i remember right, on my 81 and 85 351W, none went into the jacket. my 302 also doesn't go into the jacket.

to see if yours need sealer look at the bolt holes in the block, if its a blind hole then just use oil, if its an open hole into the water jacket then use a quality sealer.

He's correct. You don't need to worry about sealant, but you do need to clean the threads, and apply engine oil to them, as well as under the washers.

I know this is old but all the bottom head bolts on both the 302 and 351w go into the water jackets and require sealant. The tops are blind holes that need no sealant though.
