fuel pump

i have a 1986 F. 150 4+4 dual tank yesterday it stall out trying to load it on a trailer it sounded as if it ran out of gas so I switched to the rear tank which was full it would not start I’m still trying to start it today it has a pump on the frame and I understand A pump in each tank I can hear the pump on the frame turn on and shut off supposedly with pressure but if you disconnect the lines there is no gas Could not find a bad fuse not sure if the pumps in the tanks are working. I had been using my truck at the hunting camp all day With no problems when I started to load it on the trailer I got the front tires on and it stall out and had to load the rest with the winch anyone have any ideas?

Check the fuel pump relay. Should be under the hood.
