Arrow Ammeter/alternator wiring...

The voltage regulator goes to a round 4 pin plug. It has a big yellow, a little yellow, and a red wire.

The yellow ones were tied together with "bat" before, and it works, thats how I have it now. But I'd like to find out how they are supposed to go.

But what of the little yellow one, whats it do?

And how can I hook up the ammeter? The little red one affects it. When I hook it up to the "bat" wire, it shows shows draw when I turn stuff on, but it'll never show a charge. I know it's charging though....
