With what engine?
Edelbrock makes bigger T/Bs for the 302 and 351 but not for the 300.

Is the bolt pattern different between the 300 and 302 or 351 TB's?

The bolt pattern is the same, but the upper manifold takes a lot of grinding to fit a stock 50mm V-8 T/B, even more to fit an Edelbrock. The big issue is most lkely the intake hose, remember, Edelbrock is primarly interested in selling bolt on stuff. They are going to have a hard time explaining to their customers that they need to get the airbox end for a 300 and the T/B end from a V-8 and splice them together.

I saw some TB's for 351W's in Jegs' catalog. Not sure how much it would help for most, but here at altitude it helped on my Camaro.
