89 302 stalling problem,

I have a stalling problem with 89 F150 with 302. Starts up fine and hold idle good but stalls when come to slow down after driven up to faster speed. should I just replace IAC valve?

I would check for codes first. If you're convinced it's the IAC, try cleaning it before you replace it, and don't forget to rest the ECM when you're finished.
