Angry it knocks after sitting all night

this happened mainly when it was cold out in the mornings. I will start it up and it knocks hard, so i'll shut it off and turn it on again, runs real clean, (no knock). Now this is happening when it has sat all night.. i'll start it up and sometimes it doesn't do it right away but i'll be leaving my street thats only a block or so away from where it sat and it starts knocking hard core. I will shut it off and it will be good but i don't get this and i'm getting real P****D.it does it everynight after its sat, i've try to let it warm up, the same thing happens. now its where it doesn't have to be cold or warm and it does it. can someone help me so i don't cause any more problems..thanks

Is it a spark knock or bottom end knock?

Have you tried changing oil filter brands? I can't remember which ones have a problem with draining after shut down. Do a search on oil filters and you may come up with a possible answer. (other than rebuilding the motor)

Good luck.

I won't use anything but a Motorcraft filter on any of my Fords, I alway's see better oil pressure with them, usually about 5psi more at idle. Also, check your oil level, I've seen engines down a quart or 2 do the same thing hot or cold.
