center caps

OK, so the other day a car pulls up beside me--- and as we go to take off it is making this awful racket. Sounded like it was going to fall apart at any moment. I look at it and think to myself "what a piece of crap!" only to later find out it was me.

My hubcaps are held on with screws and I guess they just worked their way loose and it fell right off. About a week later I noticed I was missing a 2nd one.

So now I need a couple of new ones, I head to the junkyard and they want like $70 for a pair of them...I go online and same thing or more. I guess I'm just cheap but is $35 per cap the going rate? I mean these were put on how many bazillion f150's and broncos between 1990 and 1996? And with everyone wanting to 'upgrade' their wheels to a different style it would seem like there'd be a surplus of these things lying around....

Maybe I should just sell my remaining two off, my truck would be kind of ugly but it would match at least...plus being $70 to the good would make me feel a little better.

Hey man you looking for the the red or black centers? I sold one of each on ebay awhile back but think I may have a few more laying around or if not should be able to find you a couple.

That's just a few they actually have more but thing is if you do end up buying from there most of them have more than one although they may or may not offer more than one at a time. Find a dealer willing to make you a good deal on two and be sure they include screws if your're gonna need them. And make them cut you a better deal on shipping...

Good Luck..

The black ones were only on 95's and 96's so they are gonna be a bit more.

thanks guys!

I need 2 blacks or 4 reds.

All things being equal I'd actually prefer reds because my truck is red (which is incidentally why it was named "clifford")-- but whichever way it comes in least expensive is the way I'll do it.

If you have two or four lying around and want to sell them let me know, we can work something out. I'd give you first pick over ebay.

Incidentally I considered ebay but forgot they differentiate between ebay motors and the rest of ebay... I tried to search there and got so many search results it was ridiculous bso I scrapped that idea. Maybe I'll go back there now...

I sent those people emails asking about quantities/etc, we'll see what they say.

thanks again guys, I didn't expect any real solution I was just blowing off steam!

I have had a lot of success this way. Go to this site and put in what you are looking for and a bunch of scrap yards will email you. You can find anything you want and sometimes the prices are real good. Good luck!
