88, wait 30 min before starting

I recently bought an 88 f150 that runs pretty good but when I turn it off I have to wait about 30 min to restart it most of the time. It will turn a few and then it will just die out like the batery is dead. I have tried tapping on the starter, cleaning the battery terminals and some other little tests but if I leave it alone for about 30 min it will start right up. Does anyone know what is going on here? Thanks

Sounds like the starter is the problem. When it is hot it will draw too many AMPS and do what your talking about.
