F150 bumper?
F150 bumper?
I have an F150 1996 Eddie Bauer edition with a demaged back bumper. No,I did not do the demage.
It is a step bumper, appears to be a contour style, no ridges: I am totally unable to find an exact replacement. I have seen this bumper on several eddie bauers but not on any other models. I s this a part of the eddie bauer trim? I need to replace this as it looks funky and I would like to keep the truck as close to stock as possible. I have been ALL over the internet looking for this bumper, I cannot find an exact replacement.
Any suggestions as to how I can find this?

Hi psyco,
blue oval truck parts
http://tinyurl.com/d5m9a
and LMC truck

page 20 FD.3 catalog
Both have original style bumpers, rubber impact strips and step pads. LMC also has original "style" bumpers p74.
Your truck is too new be have an online catalog for LMC. Either talk to them on the phone for the details or get the newest paper catalog for a '96. I've used LMC and have been happy.

HI
Actually my fiance took the truck over to a Ford dealership today and they ran the VIN number. Apparently it is a rare truck as Ford didnt make many of the Eddie Bauers in the F150 series for that year. THe dealership had never heard of them and tried to tell him it wasnt possible. They had to run the VIN to prove it was actually a 1996.
I have NOT seen this exact bumper on any of the F150s on the road. I commute 60 miles between cities daily and have been looking for this. The only one I have seen is on a fellow members truck on this forum. It is also a 1996 Eddie bauer. My bumper is similar to a contour bumper, the stock bumpers have two ridges which mine does not have and the rubber is different.
There are lots of bumpers out there that will fit this vehicle but I want an exact replacement. We both spend all evening up into the night searching websites. There is a stock bumper out ther but its not the same one.
We are looking into getting this one straightened and rechromed. My fiance talked to a man who has done body work for many years and my vehicle is the first Eddie Bauer of that year he has seen. Ford apparently made a lot more of the Eddie Bauer expeditions than of the pickups.
I was informed I have a fairly rare truck. And since I have had it I have only seen one or two like it. Excluding the one in the photo gallery.
In all hopes I will check out the links. Thanks guys

I recieved an email from a Auto recycler in Co claiming they had this bumper. I checked the website and it appears to be the standard stock bumper but I explained what I am looking for and asked for a pic.
It is looking more and more like a visit to that rechroming shop.
The bumper is repairable, just twisted up a bit. I would like to replace the rubber on the step but I guess thats as impossiable as finding the inside door light covers.
Oh, well. I love my truck and someday it will be as good as new. It is in pretty good condition already.
A question, are the air dams standard for the 1990 to 1996? I need to replace the front air dam and have found one on Ebay for that model year but learly because the truck has that strange back bumper and the eddie bauer trim.
I ordered the LMC catalogue for 1996, just waiting for it to arrive.
