who has gotten a chip for there 4.9l? i have a 1993 and was wandering if its worth it? how much extra power do they give? increase mileage or decrease? any other problems created from having it? prices and brands?

just going through the truckperformance site for my truck, is it safe to add coil spacers to a already lifted truck? i got a 4" suspension lift. what issues would i run into?

i know everyone seems to have there opinions on them but what about throttle body spacer? ive heard some say with the 4.9l they do help some and with other engines they are just paper weights... anyone tried them?

Many people will argue about it (they always do), but from my personal experience with my '95, a JET chip made a big difference. The best single improvement, though, came from a K&N FIPK (the kit, not just a drop-in filter). Don't waste your money on an MSD box, your stock ignition is as good or better.

 

i agree i got the k&n fipk and i noticed a big difference.... plus i got it new for $70 on ebay
