Question air bag help needed, please

Today I noticed my horn was beeping randomly when I made a hard left turn-at first I thought I had accidentally hit the button while turning, but then figured out I wasn't because it did it again when my hands were nowhere near. Then on the way home, my air bag lamp started going off. code 13. I looked this up, and it is a ground in the air bag circuit. I am guessing the horn and air bag lights are related so the ground is probably in the steering column. The airbag won't deply on me at some random moment, right? I don't have the time to take my steering column apart immediately and am hoping I can put it off for a little bit....right? Someone say right, pleeease.

The clockspring in the steering wheel/column is failing.

It will need to be replaced to correct the fault.
