Cool License plate light in-op

Hey any idea what would cause passenger side license plate light not work even though it has power? Tried 2 different new bulbs and neither would work...... even tried spilicing in the drivers side wire to see if that would work but nothing....... these are 1 wire lights........I did do a continuity check from end of wire to the center contact.... no break there..... Any ideas?

Cool Corrode or loose

Yes, the socket isnt tight in the bumber right now...... found out thats how it gets the grounding done...... Would a wire to the body of the light to the frame work for that....... or just replace the socket itself......

I would replace the socket, but it still has to contact the frame or it won't be grounded. You could use a wire, but if that's what you want to do, get a new socket with two wires, and run one to power and the other to ground.
