How to get performance from a inline 6?

My brother has a 92 inline 6 and is looking for a little more power. Is there any upgrades that could be done, and notice it? Thanks .

Mind you, with gas prices having gone up 80 cents per gallon in 6 days here, the only performance that matters much is MPG, and the solution to that is to get the motorcycle back on the road...

Pop in a K&N air filter and put on an exhaust sytem for starters as well as a tune up with better plugs and wires.

Actually, a drop-in K&N won't do squat, but a K&N FIPK will. In fact, for the money, it will give you the biggest improvement.
