93 Lightning Maf Conversion

I am stumpt. I have searched and searched and could not really come up with anything that will work on the lightnings. Can anyone point me in the right direction of parts needed if it is possible? I called Ford and motorsports conversion works only on 5.0 and 5.8 excluding lightning. Please help

Shawn

Thumbs up

FMS used to have a kit with an extra PCM and larger injectors. Or you can go this route - http://www.mass-air.com/

I'm going to say this now, MAF isn't needed to make power provided you or someone you know isn't a toolbag and can tune the current EEC-IV properly. SD is fine. Also, MAF hits a headlimit in G/sec and then you simply need to keep fooling the PCM with larger meters.

That 351W in there has low compression, lame heads, and an even worse cam. Before I'd drop $1000 on a MAF kit I'd add some actual heads atop that motor that flow better than around 130cc intake side and a cam that's not dead around 4200rpm. Gains will be huge.

It's not that it's dead above 4200; it's that it's barely alive below it.
