Question New Project???4.9L swap

Hi everybody,
Brand new to this website and I've been looking thru the threads and some of the info is great. I have a 88 F150 shortbox reg. cab, 4.9L w/crappy Mazda tranny (don't like it one bit). Long term project is: Currently going to purchase a 1989 F150 4x4 w/351W (owner blew the motor), tranny may be fine then I plan on putting the 4.9L into the 1989 4x4. My question is will the 4.9L bolt right up to the auto tranny in the 1989 without any modifications or having to look for additional parts to make it work? If this works I plan on switching out the entire cab on my 88 to an automatic tranny setup and lowering it to have my summer cruiser, lowered with 17 or 18" rims and overhauling the 351W if it is OK and hooking up a beefed up tranny (still have a lead foot at times ). Looking forward to some input and thanks.

I'm not sure about the newer fuel injected, but we pulled out a 4.9 and put in a 302 in my buddies 86 ford, the motor and tranny will match up, but you need different motor mounts, and I'm not sure about the fuel injection part

I say it should match up but will probable have to change the motor mounts for the set up and maybe some other things to make it work but for the most part it should work.
