I have a 94 F150 with 6 cyl, E4OD, MAP sensor, etc. I swapped the engine with a 5.0 from a 96 F150 along with the MAF sensor, ECU and wire harness. The engine looks great BUT my E4OD is not shifting. I have tried other ECUs but it is difficult to find the right one (if any exists) out of 7 possible ECUs. I have been told the problem is the solenoid bank in the 94 E4OD will not talk to the 96 ECU since the diodes are in the bank as well as in the 96 wire harness.

Should I continue to try other ECUs...Did ford make a 94 F150 5.0 with MAF?

Or should I install a 96 solenoid bank? Or install a different trainy?

96s are a whole different animal computer wise, so mixing and matching older years is iffy...

I believe the 94 Broncos were MAF, but im not sure.
