I have a question for you...how can you do a dual exhaust on a six cylinder? are you sure you don't have a 5.0?

The 4.9 has 2 exhaust manifolds, one for 1-3 and another for 4-6. Depending on year of manufacture, there are either individual downpipes going to a dual inlet single outlet cat or a y-pipe going to a single inlet cat.

All you need to do is replace the cat with a 2 in x 2 out version and run separate lines to separate mufflers. Or you can do a quasi-dual system by splitting the exhaust after the cat.

On a 2WD, 32" is generally considered the limit. 31" will fit easily. Be prepared for a stunning loss of performance from the larger tires; they will kill your acceleration unless you change gears to match.

31's are best for the rwd trucks, as for looks, what do you want it to look like?

shop around for wheels and tires. if you're looking for bigger tires, you'll notice the difference. but a good set of off-road tires makes the difference in where you can put it.

if you're looking for a tougher look, look for different bumpers. some of them are tougher too. if you're going to do the off-roading, a winch probably looks good to you. and without the four-by, you might want to have anything to help you out. (from experience, that is.)

what transmission do you have? do you have a bedliner? toolboxes? tinted windows? how is the body? i guess the question is really, "what do you mean by looking good?"

good luck with it all.
