fuel filter

have 95 f150 and tried to remove old fuel filter but when I got under the truck I didn't know how do disconnect it and was worried about breaking connectors looks like they just pull out but not sure. Instruction are appreciated. Tks

You need to buy a special tool to release the fittings. Basically, its a small plastic ring that fits around the fuel line, you slide it into the fitting and it releases. It's kind of hard to describe, but easy to do. Any auto parts store should have the tool.

i was kinda mad when i went to change my fuel filter and saw that i needed to go buy a tool to do it. it was only 7 dollars but it was another trip to the store.

Lol. My uncle fought with his for hours trying to figure it out. I think he eventually broke/cut the lines and did a "custom" one. Lol.
