i drive a 1993 ford f-150 with the venerable 4.9L I-6. it's the mazda five-speed manual tranny. if someone witha similar truck is reading this, what kind of gas mileage do you get? for others, what would you expect?

it's recently started idling roughly and the exhaust smells like a richer burn. so i'm thinking timing.....but i'm not sure. i just recently replaced the distributor cap, which i would like to believe eliminates the need to check it out, but this might not be the case. plugs and wires are also new.
