I could potentially see a hotter coil if the OE one dies, save your money from a CD ignition system for other mods like a full exhaust, bigger alternator, mild cam, etc.
The way to benefit from a Cap Dis ignition system is to have to be overpowering the OE system first with too much cylinder pressure (via boost or nitrous for example) or with a cam that has too much positive overlap with too much fuel not getting burned...
I have an MSD and saw basically nothing with the 6AL, TFI coil, TFI module, and new wires as my motor is still stock internally (parts laying about but that's another story ) and was running well at the time.
