rearend gears

what are the real benefits in changing the rear-end gears?

Yeah feel More torque!
If you're running bigger tires and wheels....it's the way to go.

Gears are great. You can beef up the engine to make more horsepower and you'll notice a small difference in the acceleration, but when you install lower ratio gears and hit the gas it really throws you back in the seat. If you can sacrifice a little highway gas milage gears are the best bang for your buck to make your truck more fun to drive.

I agree, I had 4.30 gears and a Traction lok installed in my truck a while back ago and still cant wipe the grin off of my face
