Question about daylights...

I have a 96 F150 with daytime running headlights. (I guess that means it's from Canada.)

I was wondering if it's possible to modify them so they aren't always on whenever the truck is running.

Anyone know if this can be done and how to do it?
Thanks in advance...

What is the problem ? I would think that any safety stuff is a good idea. I have lots of people pull out in front of me with my 3 older cars without the daytime running lamps but very few with the truck with the lights. I do believe they help you to be seen.

is your truck black, my trucks black
anyhow mine was made in canada too, its got the daytime lights and whatnot but there is a safety switch for the parking brake that shuts them off, my parking brake is not hooked up so i can just push it down to turn them off but if yours works you might be able to find that switch and change it so they are always off if you wish

by the way does your truck have a block heater???
