squeaky steering???
squeaky steering???
when i turn my steering wheel it squeaks most of the time (sometimes not on warmer days) but most of the time it is squeaking.....would this be the steering gear box or something of that matter?
mine is on the inside whenever i turn the wheel at all. sounds sorta like a spring in there stretching or such. how do you "lube" the sliding contacts?? what sourta lube do you use?? don't want to try the wrong place and then on the first warm day have shtuff dripping down off my steering column! thanx in advance
you either have to take off the plastic steering column cover or pull the steering wheel. You will then be able to see the copper rings on the back side of the steering wheel. You can use either white grease or a little motor oil. Just a little is all it takes.
