Water Pump bolts wont go back in

Water Pump bolts wont go back in
On sunday I replaced my water pump. I went to put on the other water pump and two of the bolts will go back in, but the other two will not.
I dont know what to do. Could the bolts be stripped or be a cause of corosion on the threads?
If anyone has any insight it would great.

are you sure your putting the SAME bolts in the SAME holes they came out of?...common problem..some are just that much longer and if you put a long bolt in a short hole then bad things can happen..like on a 6 banger you can actually put a hole in the front cylinder if the wrong bolts are installed in the wrong place...zap!
