1996 F-150 with slight stutter at highway speeds
Hello Gang,
I am a proud owner of a 1996 F-150 Centurion Conversion XLT, 5.8 l(351 ci) V8 Windsor engine. When I am driving at highway speed, I notice a tiny stutter - just barely noticeable, but I want to figure it out before it becomes too much of a problem. I am not sure if it happens only when I am driving up a slight hill, but I seem to notice it most in situations where I am driving at about 65-70mph and slightly up hill.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to chase something like that down? It's been bothering me and I wanted to check here and see if any of you might have some diagnostic ideas.
Thanks Very Much,
Erik

Sorry.
The truck has about 88,000 miles on it. The condition of the vehicle is great (visually) and the weather conditions when I began noticing this was very cold.
As for my own diagnosis - transmission, rear end etc - I really do not know the answer to that one. The vehicle is somewhat new to me - I purchased it in October. It is definitely in good shape as far as the engine and transmission goes. I had all the fluids checked and changed recently and there were no hiccups when that stuff was examined. Does this additional information help at all? I had been thinking perhaps bad plugs - or maybe I should have the timing checked. It idles pretty well, by the way.
