Bigger Radiator with a 4.9 Strait 6??

I have a 94 F150 with a straight 6, that overheats in the summer when running the A/C. Has anyone changed out their OEM radiator, and put in a larger one? If so.. what size did u get to make it fit? I guess what I am wondering is if the one that is standard for the V8's, IF it would work for the inline 6??

A v8 one will probably bolt right in, but that would be fixing the symptom instead of the problem. You need to find out why your cooling system isn't working as well as it should, because eventually it will cause other problems.

Thats true, but I really have no idea why it wouldnt be working properly. I spoke to a mechanic, and he told me that he did that to a Ford Van he was driving, and it fixed the problem.

I put a new radiator in a 1986 Ford van E-150. When I looked around to purchase one, I found I couldn't buy the same radiator anymore. The radiator shop said all that could be bought was a hi-efficency radiator...don't remember how many core rows the new one had. It was similar to the old one but it was a little different.
I also found there was very little difference in price between getting the old one re-cored or buying the new hi-efficency radiator. Hope this helps.......

No, I dont think a V8 radiator will fit. From my experience with my 90 Ford with a 4.9, auto, I had to get a 2row replacement. I guess the connections are different, or at least in a dif place.
