Ignition timing procedure 96 f150

How does it work? I assume that you unlock the dist and rotate to get to 10 btdc yes?

Is there anything else? I hear about a distributor spout but I'm not sure where that could be on my truck.

thanks for any help...

Jason

It's a 302 5.0L v8

The spout removed for timing is always located near the ignition module. Yours is on the driver's side fender close to the brake booster. Unplug the spout, then set timing. Then reinstall the spout. It is a little gray connector.
