89 f150 exhaust question

ive got an 89 f150 300ci 5 speed, and i see that it has 2 cats on it. the first cat has 2 inlets so i want to leave that one. but will removing the second one and then running 2.5" catback with a flowmaster 40 series be ok? i want a nice sound without the loss of power.

Sounds like a good plan to me. That is if you don't have to pass an emissions test...

no i dont need to worry about emissions. my worry was that there wasnt going to be enough backpressure and i was going to start losing power.
