hi everyone im new to here
i have a 1991 f150 4x4 i turn the key on to start and it will not start if i jump the silinoid it will start and allso it will not engage in to 4 hi or low

 

Does it have tilt wheel? If so, the actuator rod between the upper and lower ignition actuation rods is probably broken. Pretty common after a lot of miles. The fix requires disassembly of the upper portion of the column and tilt mechanism to replace the part, which is less than twenty bucks, but not a job for the occasional do it yourselfer. Not real hard, but it is time consuming, and we get them at the dealership all the time where the owners take them apart, but couldn't figure out how to get it all back together.
