95 XL4.9 I6 2wd newbie

Hi guys... Great site!
I'm having a hard time finding some things for my truck. I need some guidence. Looking for a rebuild kit, perfomace parts, header/chip and need to find out what the stock wheel size is and a place that has a big variety of wheel choices.(Cragger ect..)
Checked out Tire Rack. No luck. I am by no means a mechanic. This is on a learn as you go basis.(help from my mech buds).
You guys are very knowledgeable, so your help is appreciated.
Thanks, Alan

Welcome!

Check the Aftermarket section of the forums for aftermarket parts and help. JCWhitney carrys alot of stuff, also, http://f150online.motorhaven.com/customer/home.php ..

As far as original equipment tires, most came with 215/75-R15, others came with 235/75-R15

On the topic of the rims keep this in mind: rims that fit on a dodge will also fit on your truck. So whatever fits the ram 1500 will work for you. BTW that includes many years of dodges, from the old boxy lookin ones all the way up to the 2005's.

I've searched this site, checked out that link you gave and checked out the Aftermarket section with NO luck.
Where can I buy a rebuild kit?
Where can I buy a header?
Where can I buy bolt on performance goodies?
I haven't checked JcW yet , But I have checked Summit with no luck.
Thanks, Alan

rebuild kit? As in pistons/rings, gaskets, etc?

Dynomax and Hedman makes a set of headers for your truck.. You might have to call them directly, I don't believe too many people buy Headers for a 6 cyl.

Most any universal header will fit, you might need to modify the bracket alittle though.

As for performance parts, google it!

Q: who makes and sells parts for our engines?
A: just about everyone sells parts for our engines, you should be able to call up just about any big name company and get parts (Summit, Performance Automotive Warehouse, etc.) just because it isn't listed, doesn't mean it isn't sold there, call them up and ask them
as for who makes parts:

Cams
Clifford Performance
Crower
Crane
Comp Cams
Lazer Cams
Accelerated Motion
ultraDyne
Blueracer
Schneider Cams
Iskanderian

Intake Manifolds
Offenhauser
Clifford Performance
Holman Moody
Edelbrock (Both it and the H-M piece are out of production and fairly rare)

Headers
Clifford Performance
MAC
Dynomax
Pace Setter
Hedman
Hooker
for mildly built engines, the EFI manifolds work wonderfully, and are much cheaper

Roller Rocker
Crane Roller
Harland Sharp
Comp Cams

YES. It would be nice to get a kit like the v8's.
I didn't know about the non listed items.
I know the name of the companys that make parts.... My truck was not listed. I will contact them

Thanks for your help.

The factory exhaust manifold they used in 1995 is excellent. IMO, buying a header would be a waste of money.
