GT40P heads & smog equipment

Anyone know if the GT40P heads can be drilled to fit the thermactor equipment? I know the Explorer didn't have a smog pump and I understand that holes can be drilled to mount the thermactor equipment...but can it be made functional?

I'm an idiot when it comes to smog crap, but don't want to clog an expensive hi-flow cat

Thanks,

Gary W.

It might be easier to have a bung welded onto your headers and hook up the secondary air injection there.

strange ranger,

I may have this completely wrong, but I was thinking that the Thermactor tube that bolts to the head was there for the purpose of determining the temp. of the engine. I believe its the tube that goes across the back of the block, from one head to another and has a check valve in the middle. Not positive though...

PKRWUD, can you clarify?
