what all have you done to the engine.

do you like the edlebrock carb.

i just bought a 77 f150 with:

460 .030 over, d3ve -a2a heads stock, a ford racing cam with i think 216 int and 220 dur. @.050" lift, SRP forged piston and the guy thinks about 10 to 1, edlebrock performer rpm, a junk holley 650dp, c6 and a 3.89 with a detroit locker. the truck is in bad shape but the motor and rear end only have about 1500 miles.

i am thinking of putting the engine and rear end in my galaxie but i really want to get get a good carb and have a little fun with it before i pull the engine.

460 .030 over balanced and blue printed
11.5-1 compression
SCJ heads ported polished
trunk crank
Eagle h-beams
Speedpro forged pistons
Solid lunati cam(Adv. Duration: 300°/310° Gross Lift: .559''/.572'' RPM Range: 3000-6500)
Harland Sharp Roller Rockers
Crane Cam(I think it was them, I forgot) pushrods
Edelbrock performer rpm intake
Edelbrock 750 cfm carb(way to small)
Mr gasket 2" spacer
Full MSD setup
Hooker long tube headers
3" exhaust going 40 flows dumping before the axle(although im going bullets now)
ARP oil pump shaft
Melling High pressure oil pump
sfi flywheel
Dynogear True double roller
Holley blue pump
Weiand aluminium water pump
Ford Motorsport valve covers
K&N air filter assembly

Uh, I think thats mostly it.

Got a built c6 behind it with a 2600 stall.

Engine has gobs of power, but the carb just cant support it. I'm investing in a bigger carb as I type

sounds good.

from the compression and the big cam i take it that it will be a street/strip more towards strip, what are your goals for hp and track times.

i would like to get the ford racing alum heads, match it with the cam used in the 500 hp crate motor and make 500 and be able to run 93 octane.

what size carb are going to get and do you want to sale the 750?

Honestly dont know what my hp goals are, 750 I guess with nitrous, thats when the 2 bolt blocks usually take a dump. I better be in atleast the 10's with this new setup cutting some sweet reaction times.

Looking at a 1050 or 1150 cfm, not sure yet, want to have room to grow. And i probally wont sell this carb. Dad or I might just make a duel carb intake for it. We have 2 of those eldelbrocks 750's so we might do that for cheapness.

I have a 4 bolt main block, 2 turbos, another set of hbeam rods and low compression fordged pistons, keep playing with that idea I'm putting most of my money away though for my 79 pace car at the moment. I'm dieing to have a fast "street" car. Not a drive once or twice a month on saturday nights trying not to get tickets from excessive noise vehicle
