Mass air conversion on E4OD trans?

I have a 1990 F-150 with a 5.0L. I was browsing the Ford Racing catalog, and I saw the Mass Air Conversion kit for my year truck. I could only find kits for trucks with an AOD transmission. I was curious about why they didn't have the kit for an e4OD, the trans my truck has. Does anyone know why they don't offer this kit for my kind of transmission?

They do have a kit for your transmission, but its the kit for the 93-95 lightnings. I would call the ford tech line and ask them if that kit will work in your truck.

Pirate everything out of a truck in a junkyard. Look for a 95 bronco or pickup.

I know Pro-Flow makes a kit for your truck. But it's alittle pricey!
Good Luck!

My opinion - don't waste your time and money.

Mass air helps only to let the truck adjust to mods easier. The sequential injection helped very slightly with power, but not enough to justify the cost in swapping it.

For a lot less money and headache you could get a custom chip burn that would compensate for the mods you do.

Just for the record, this is the opinion of someone who has a '95 that is factory mass air equipped.

It's good if you are trying to achieve larger power levels, if I was staying bolt ons I would have not purchased my FMS MAF kit either.

A good custom chip on Speed Density is fine.
