I've been pondering building my own lightbar/ headache rack for some time, i've looked at numerous aftermarket pieces, but nothing that suits my needs, I have 4 Hella lights that measure 8 3/4" across, and an amber light which is roughly 12" long and I was thinking of building a double crossover bar so that the amber light sits lower on a bar by itself with the 4 off road lights sitting behind it and a little higher, i am going to use 2"x2" tube steel and bolt it to the top of the box behing the cab and run brace bars back the the wheel wells similar to a roll bar. Does anyone have any pics of Pre 97 trucks with a rollbar or light bar? I also want to build something to replace it when the winter comes so I can still use my cap.
