1990 fule consumption

Hello everyone

I have a '90 F150 XLT Lariat with the 351 V8, and I will be towing a trailer with close to 2000 lbs. across Canada (one coast to the other!) in the Fall. Just wondering if anyone can give a guess as to the fuel mileage I might be getting. Thanks a lot

Well, it probably ain't going to be good! But it will depend a lot on what kind of mileage you get on a regular basis and also how flat the terrain is you will be traveling. Generally I expect to loose about 2-4 mpg with a trailer behind me, but I have a heavy foot too. If you drive reasonably it may not be too bad, except in the hills, which tend to eat gas when pulling a trailer. The way the gas prices are going, no matter what your mileage, driving that far is gonna be expensive!
