TTB dana 44 tear down info??

I am doing gears in a 96 f-150 with the ttb dana 44. and I need to know, or get some info on how to tear down the front diff. I know I have to pull the axle shafts out before I remove the "third member" from the truck, but I am not quite sure as to how the axles come out??? I must have to take apart the hubs, and brakes and spindles, then will they just slide out? any help or links to help would be great.

I think you will need a special socket to take apart the hubs, i got one from my snap-on dealer but i bet the parts stores carry them.

yup, you have to take the spindles off. one axle shaft comes out of the third member and the other has a slip yoke that you must take apart.
