Where is the Windshield washer sprayer pump located on a 1989 F-150 custom?

I dont know how much help I can be, but I will try. I dont know exactly where the washer pump is located, but I have a couple of ideas. The 2 that come to mind are that it is either located on the firewall somewhere or I know that on some vehicles, the washer pump is in the washer tank. If you have tried those and come up short, then I dont know what to tell you. Oh, it could also be inside the firewall. My dad has an 82 model and I know the wiper motor is under the narrow strip of metal that is between the back of the hood and the windshield. Thats all I got.

 

It is usually in the bottom of the washer fluid tank. On my truck it looks like someone installed a replacement which is now just sitting on top of the driver's fender well.

 

yep the factory 87-96 washer pump is on the bottom of the overflow/washer fluid tank.........i got the whole tank with pump at a salvage yard for like 8 dollars i think
