any hints on how to get to the screws to remove the headlight assembly to allow changing of the parking lights?

 

In behind the headlight there are 4 small nuts that must be removed as well as two screws on top then unplug the wiring and the light assembly should come out.

 

There's the chrome frame or cover around the headlight and parking light. There's 2 screw on top, one on the side and two on the bottom.

How do I get to these?

 

The screws on top are self explanitory.....

The 2 nuts on the bottom are more challenging. To start, the passenger side, take out the battery, unless you like hurt hands, there iare 2 holes in the rad support. In there is 2 11mm nuts. A 11mm deep 1/4 inch drive socket with a 3in extension works good. Take them out and take the parking light assembly ouy. The headlight doesnt come with it. Just twist to remove the light sockets.
Same for the drivers side. You may have to fight with the washer/overflow bottle. If you do just take it out..... Whatever it takes to make your job eaiser.
