High pressure in fuel tank?

My truck, 93 F150, had very high pressure in the rear tank. I was flagged down by another motorist, pulled over and I could hear it as soon as I stepped out. I removed the cap and it was really rolling out of there and didn't stop. I quessed the vapor canister may be clogged and removed both the intake and outlet lines. I traveled another 30 miles and the problem was gone. I drove another 75 and no appearent problems. When I finally arrived home I had pressure in the rear tank again, but not quite as bad. This was with the caps loose, I did this when I first noticed the problem. Thanks in advance for any advice of where to start. Rob

Could be the ole fuel transfer problem, gas from the tank in use is leaked back to the other tank,,, Ford had a recall for this problem.

This can cause the offline tank to overfill and leak out posing a fire danger.

If you do a forum search for this problem you should be able to find a bunch of threads on it.

Thankyou. I found a couple threads and looked up Ford's recalls. If the information I found is correct, the recall is good for twelve years after the date of manufacture. I never received a recall notice and this is the first I've heard of it. I'll be sure to contact the dealer and see what he has to say.
