We are trying to find out if an early model Ford distributor can be upgraded to a later model. The engine is a 292, and we are guessing it has a distributor that fits a 1957-58 engine. Is it possible to upgrade to a later model distributor?

MSD just released a y-block distributor.
It isn't going to be cheap.
