92-96 F-150 fuel pump problems

i have a 1993 F-150 with 58,600 miles on it,its been a good truck except for problems with the back fuel pump, its operates at low pressure causing poor acceleration and vapor lock in hot summers. I quit using it 6 years ago,but i`d like to fix it because its in the main tank. the good pump is in the small tank, figures doesnt it? whats involved in fixing the fuel pump?i dont live where i can fix it myself,i`ll have to have it fixed.by the way,i havent yet had the recall repair for the pressure regulator done yet.the front tank pump works fine just noisy.

You have to drop the tank, pull out the sending unit and pump assembly and install the new pump, them put the tank back up.
