stupid thermostat question

On a '95 5.0 which which direction does the thermostat spring face, engine or raditor?

I could be wrong but i think on all vehicles the spring side goes towards the engine.

It goes towards the engine block.

Think of it this way: The other side of the t-stat kinda resembles a nipple, and nipples should always point outward.
