hey guys, ive been on this kick to update my truck to 92-96 stuff, and I found a pair of mirrors on ebay and has anybody done this conversion? I know there is a square thing that goes through to the inside of the door and mine probably doesnt have the hole for it. but what about the holes that will be left over from the bottom mounts on my current mirrors? I plan on getting the truck painted, but im going to do as much body work as possible, are there screw inserts in there or what?

The mirrors will bolt up to the holes in the top of the door. If you picked up power mirrors you have to run the wiring for them.
As for the holes in the middle of the door, you have to drill out the nut sert and have the holes welded and filled.

 

so there is a hole for the part that goes to the inside of the door? I havent decided if i want to get the power ones yet, probably not, i dont have much need for them. should i get all black or the ones with chrome on the front?
