K&N Aircharger vs FIPK?

Hi, I currently have the FIPK on my truck (the MAF variety, as I have a MAF conversion) and was wondering if the Aircharger would be worth any more power over the FIPK?

It looks like the Aircharger replaces the entire intake track vs the FIPK just takes the place of the stock air box...

What do ya guys think?

What engine do you have?

Usually the FIPK has the entire assembly...

Also, keep in mind the aircharger is not 50-state legal, so you'll need to check on that.

I have an '88 truck 302/AOD w/ a FMS MAF kit on it. I used the '94 MAF meter and stuck the 89-93 electronics on it (what the FMS kit came with). The FIPK I used was for the factory MAF trucks. I basically have the 94+ MAF trucks intake setup.

My smog pump is missing, I have a dumped exhaust, the inspection place I go to is pretty loose. Heck I forgot to pack my current insurance with me when I went and they didn't care. I doubt they'd care about the FIPK vs Aircharger...worse case scenario I'd just tell them the CARB sticker is for the Aircharger.

The Aircharger seems like it will make a tad more power as it replaces the tubing from the MAF to the TB and has a heatshield too.

The aircharger kit is for Speed Density....so you don't really have a choice other then going with the FIPK. Atleast that is what I was told by 4WheelParts....

well damn, didn't even see the MAF meter lol

I would go with the Aircharger only cuz it replaces the stock ridged intake tube.
